Patient safety charter

  • We follow current infection prevention guidance and maintain strict decontamination procedures.
  • We use single-use instruments where appropriate or sterilise between patients.
  • We decontaminate work areas between patients and monitor water quality in dental unit waterlines.
  • We manage clinical and non-clinical waste in accordance with regulations.
  • We train our team in safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults and follow safeguarding procedures.
  • We run clinical governance and risk management to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibility for health and safety at the practice is delegated to the Practice Manager and senior clinicians. The team is supported through meetings, training and appraisals. Questions and feedback are welcomed.
